Fed's Kaplan: There's upside risk to forecast for 3.4% inflation this year

Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan said on Thursday that there is an upside risk to his forecast for 3.4% inflation this year and 2.4% next year, as reported by Reuters.

Kaplan also noted that the demand is strong and added that he expects it to continue to be strong.

Market reaction

These remarks don't seem to be having a noticeable impact on the greenback's performance against its major rivals. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was posting small daily gains at 91.82.
