NZD/USD falls to 1-month low after US jobs report

FXStreet (Córdoba) - A strong rally of the US dollar triggered by higher-than-expected jobs gains, dragged NZD/USD to fresh monthly lows near 0.6500.

NZD/USD lost more than a hundred pips on the back of the US nonfarm payrolls report, which showed the US economy added 271,000 new jobs in October versus 180,000 expected and up from 237,000 the previous month, while the unemployment rate dropped to 5.0% versus 5.1% expected.

NZD/USD scored a 1-month low of 0.6515, and it was last trading down 1.35% at 0.6520.
